How amusing.
At my job, we're told directly that we can't have a cell phone on. While everyone has them anyway, everyone also has the ringer off. Its polite. If the management discovers that we have our ringer on, its taken away until the end of the day because its a distraction to everyone around us, including ourselves.
Its been that way ever since the first job I had back in 1993.
Why would reporters think they're immune to it?
What am I saying... reporters think they're immune to common human decency and don't care whether they SHOULD do something, only that they can.
Silly me.
